Own Your Own Space
"Known to somebody as "AYTACRAYTA". Aytacrayta is a magic spell, a spell which makes you wonder. The magic of light."
Food Not Bombs
The movement towards the change and against the stagnation. Either to explore, to commute or just go away. The intentions are always different. The journey heals what was accumulated while we were waiting to depart. In the Czech Republic, where I come from, we say: ‘The journey is the goal.’ The act of excitement which is diluted in the blurriness which stands ahead the road and in the plans we expect to happen. The same as the analogue photography is covered in the curtain of thrill which holds us from the moment we have exposed the light-sensitive material until we developed it.
I often undertake such short or long distance journeys and take pinhole cameras to accompany me. The final image can vary from the reality and it is developed with all those beautiful imperfections which pinhole photography offers. Counting second by second while taking the long exposure it is finally my memory which is the most precious photographic device.
